Vexal Documentation by WileyLabs

Vexal Ecosystem

Stable

Applies to: Vexal platform, WileyLabs / NADmedia product line

Updated: July 2026

Vexal is a modular digital business platform by WILEYlabs and NADmedia. It is also an AI Visibility Platform—machine-understanding infrastructure for WordPress. Modules deliver capabilities; Applications (Hub, Workspace) orchestrate them; Platform Services provide shared infrastructure. On WordPress, modules ship as plugin packages.

Platform positioning

  • Product: AI Visibility Platform
  • Technical: Machine-understanding infrastructure (signals, scoring, schema, ledger, recommendations)
  • Design principle: Intelligence layer, not a theme framework—works with Elementor, Divi, Astra, Kadence, block themes, and WooCommerce themes

Current ecosystem products

How products connect

Hub (tenancy + Workspace + machine auth)
  ↔ Intake (leads module/workspace contracts)
SmartBlocks (site intelligence) ↔ Media ↔ Portfolio
SmartBlocks / Media ↔ SearchAsist Engine (AI routing)

Each plugin works standalone within its domain. Integrations use contracts, hooks, and machine auth—not hard theme dependencies. Cross-product UX follows the Vexal Experience Framework.

Vexal Hub

Production control plane (vexal-hub, 0.3.007+): Operator Console, /vexal-login/, customer /vexal-workspace/, account membership, site assignment, customer admin guard, credential vault, and Intake module pulls.

Archived assumption: Older docs labeled Hub “Future / not production.” That applied before the 0.3.x Workspace and Account Management releases. Prefer current Hub docs.

Vexal Intake

Lead intake plugin (vexal-intake) with profile-driven forms and a branded client portal (/vexal-intake/account/, leads inbox). Auth Experience reference at 1.0.028.

Vexal SmartBlocks

Primary WordPress intelligence plugin (vexal-smartblocks). Delivers page readiness scoring, governed recommendations, FAQ/schema tooling, telemetry dashboards, visibility campaigns, visibility ledger, recovery & rollback, and agent intelligence surfaces.

Vexal Media

Media intelligence and optimization layer (vexal-media). Compresses and resizes images, generates alt text, converts WebP, optimizes video, scores site media readiness, and exposes Apply Fix batches. Integrates with SmartBlocks ledger snapshots and Portfolio uploader processing.

Vexal Portfolio

Structured portfolio and project intelligence (vexal-portfolio). Manages projects (jobs), showcases (public pages), gallery types, Vexal Categories, media linkage, and the client project media uploader shortcode. Portfolio Project Workspace is distinct from Hub Workspace.

SearchAsist / Vexal Engine

Backend intelligence and AI routing service layer. SmartBlocks and Vexal Media can route AI features (vision metadata, image generation, engine calls) through SearchAsist when credentials are configured in plugin Integrations settings—not in Portfolio Project Workspace.

Credential rule: API keys and processing configuration belong in Vexal Media or SmartBlocks Integrations. Portfolio Project Workspace consumes internal bridge APIs only—users should not manually assign external APIs in the workspace.

For step-by-step install, first admin visits, and per-product checklists, use the Quick Start guide.

  1. Install and configure Vexal SmartBlocks for visibility scoring and ledger
  2. Add Vexal Media when media readiness and optimization matter
  3. Add Vexal Portfolio when you need structured project galleries and client upload intake
  4. Add Vexal Intake for lead forms and client lead inbox
  5. Use Vexal Hub when you need multi-site tenancy, Operator Console, and customer Workspace
